Optical brightener Masterbatch

In general, the appearance of a product is of significant importance. Most plastic products tend to yellow over time, and this issue occurs due to degradation caused by ultraviolet (UV) or visible light, as well as the processing methods used. Degraded parts, when exposed to light, particularly blue light, tend to exhibit a yellowish appearance under daylight, which negatively impacts the overall look of the piece.

This yellowing effect is undesirable, especially for products where aesthetic appeal and color retention are critical. To prevent such degradation and maintain the appearance of plastic products, UV stabilizers and other additives are commonly used in plastic formulations. These additives help protect the plastic from UV radiation and slow down the discoloration process, ensuring the product retains its original color for a longer period.
